Power steering problems on a 1999 Peugeot 406
The power steering has started to go on me when I'm going round sharp corners, especially in the wet.
Also the battery light has been sometimes flashing up as well as the engine warning light. There is also a loud screeching from one of the belts. Any thoughts?

Yes, something turned by the ancillary belt is failing and preventing the belt from turning the other components: PAS pump, alternator, a/c compressor. That's the reason for the load screeching.
