Small automatic car for a young driver - what should I buy?

What are the best small, 1-litre second hand automatic cars for a young driver, please?

We'd recommend a Kia Picanto. The latest model arrived in 2017 and represents excellent value for money on the used market, with a reliable automatic gearbox and efficient 1.0-litre petrol engine. It's easy to drive and should be very cheap to run. The Hyundai i10 is well worth a look, too.
