Cost, in France

My husband needs to replace our 15-year-old RHD Clio with a new RHD Modus. Ideally he would like to buy one over here, in order to save the long trek to London. The dealer in Marmande believes this to be impossible, but people came to the continent some years ago to do just that. Have you any knowledge of such a possibility?

It will be much more expensive in France. Sterling has dropped about 35% against the Euro. But UK car prices have only risen 10% - 15% over the same period. So the car is basically 20% cheaper in the UK.
