Belittled

I am a 65 year old lady and only 4" 9" tall. I am interested in buying a brand new small car that is reliable and made to last. At the moment I have a Renault Megane 2002 model but am worried that I have to have the seat so far forward to reach the pedals that if I had an accident and the airbag inflated it would either crush all my ribs or kill me. Also I find reversing difficult with it being on the large side. Ideally the new car would have to be under £10k. I have looked at the Micra but am not keen on this. I have also looked at the Honda Jazz but it is over my price bracket and is on the large side. I am now intending looking at the Peugeot 107, the FIAT 500 and the Citroen C1. Are there any other really small cars out there on the market? I need a reliable sturdy good little car that I feel comfortable in. Which car would you recommend?

A FIAT 500 is certainly cute. And reliable. I've had one for 18 months and it's been completely trouble-free. But if I was you I'd also look at a Hyundai i10 1.2 and a Suzuki Splash.
