Ragged top
I recently purchased a 1996 Mercedes E320 Sportline Cabriolet, FSH 100,000 miles - a model recommended by you in the past. There are two small abrasion tears in the blue-coloured outer mohair hood covering. Are you aware of any specialists in S.E. England who could repair rather than my incurring considerable expense of complete replacement of outer hood cover and associated fitting costs? Also any specific maintenance advice for this comparatively rare model would be welcomed.

Try Yellow Pages 'Car Upholsterers and Trimmers' to see if there is anyone local. But the rest of the car is standard Mercedes W214. So find an independent Mercedes specialist to look after it. The main dealer/expert in these is Nicolas Froome at www.w124.co.uk
