Wheel deal

I am a huge fan of the Toyotas. I run my own family firm and I have bought, over the years, 17 Hiaces (petrol and diesel), 4 Corollas, 4 Yaris, 5 Camrys, 1 Carina, 1 Supra 3.0TT, 1 Starlet, 1 Auris SR180, 1 Space Cruiser, 1 Landcruiser, 1 Town Ace, 1 Lite Ace, and 1 Lexus SC430. After watching Jeremy Clarkson drive a HiLux to the North Pole, I had to have one. We took delivery of an Invincible D4D Automatic, Chassis No; AHTFZ29G709012933 on 4/9/2007. Recently, Jemca Croydon contacted us to tell us the truck was subject to a free upgrade to 15-inch alloys (it was originally supplied on 16 inch alloys). We told them that we considered this to be a free downgrade, and said no thank you. In the last fortnight we have been told to accept the 15-inch wheels, or sign a waiver to accept that we know the vehicle may be dangerous. If we do neither Toyota will not uphold our warranty till the issue has been dealt with. A HiLux Invincible has recently been launched that comes as standard with Stability Management. Is this the real answer to the problem? Toyota is doing some kind of damage control by offering 15-inch wheels, and then enforcing it with the warranty issue. This is not what I have come to expect from a company that regularly tops customer satisfaction surveys. If you can find a way to find some common sense in this Honest, I would appreciate your assistance.

Think expediently. 15" wheels mean deeper profile tyres to get the same rolling circumference (otherwise they will alter the gearing), so you will get a more comfortable ride. You will also get a NEW set of tyres to replace the two-year-old set on your present wheels. 15” wheels is the 2009 spec for the HiLux. So accept and be grateful.
I'll put this TSB in the HiLux entry in car-by-car breakdown at hjuk.
