Hondarable mention

We currently have a 2006 diesel CR-V Exec. It’s been a good car and I'd be happy to keep it but the leasing co want it back so we're looking for a replacement. Tested the replacement CR-V - and its a nice drive but it seems smaller in the load capacity department and to be honest we're not sold on the style. My wife likes a high driving position and having had them we quite like the leather seats and sat nav. Looked at the Nissan Quasqai but the ride seemed a bit wallowy after the Honda (we drove a 2nd hand one rather than a demonstrator so that might have accounted for it). Looking also at the VW Tiguan and the BMW X3 - although the latter might be a bit pricey. Not tested either yet Budget - up to £25k. Used to getting 40mpg from the Honda so something similarly economical would be important. I have a feeling that we may end up with the CR-V because it ticks most of the boxes but any other suggestions much appreciated

Fold the seats and take another look at the load area of the new CR-V. It's bigger than you would think from looking at it outside. It's actually quite a big vehicle. I had one for 6 months. It's still the best vehicle of all those you tried, and the most comfortable. Mine averaged 41mpg.
