Great Xpectations

Does the Jaguar XF 3.0i V6 diesel prominently advertised in yesterday's Telegraph have the new diesel engine or are they clearing stocks of the old one? Are the claims of high quality standing up to expectation?

All 3.0 litre XF diesels have the new engine. One stage of tune is 240PS. The other is 275PS. So that is the important question to ask. They are truly stunning cars. Limo-like when you want them to be. Sharp and quick when you don't. Wonderfully satisfying to drive. I'd have one if I could afford one. No huge list of problems except for a few niggles with very early XF production last spring. I’m not convinced that any Audi, BMW or a Mercedes is better built.
