Sitting vroom

We are currently running a 2001/51 Nissan Primera and thinking of downsizing. Purely an armchair exercise so far, but as a result of reading your articles, a Nissan Note, KIA Cee’d and Hyundai i30 are in the frame. At the age of 67 reliability and comfort are more important than performance. However, we do make round trips of 500 miles once a month. Thoughts please.

Notes are good. Fairly upright seating, if that's what you want. The diesel is a 1.5 belt cam Renault engine. The petrol engines are chain
cam Nissan, same as the Micra. Cee'ds and i30s are basically the same cars made in factories 50km apart either side of the Czech Republic and Slovakian border. 1.4 and 1.6 petrol and 1.6 diesels are all chain cam, all modern engines and all good. 7 year 100k warranty on Cee'ds, 5 year unlimited mileage warranty on i30s. If you fancy funky, a KIA Soul is a mixture of Cee’d and Note.
