Min condition

I have decided on a MINI Cooper. Hopefully fun, but more practical than a Mazda MX5. There are two or three 2005 to 2006 Electric Blue and Hyper Blue examples at pretty much the same price depending on mileage, pepper/chilli extras. I understand MINI made changes in 2005 but not sure when they kicked into the market and if so, would this mean 55 onwards is better? It seems to be a buoyant market. Interestingly a silver with black roof local MINI Cooper has stuck for ages at what seems a reasonable price.

At the end of model life for the original R50 BMW MINI there were various specials such as the MINI One Seven and the Mini Cooper Park Lane. The Cooper Park Lane (grey metallic and usually with a black roof) is quite highly prized, so dearer than the others. The current R56 MINI arrived in early 2007.
