Can I get a warranty on a 30 year old campervan?

I am thinking of buying a 1992 Volkswagen campervan but I'm worried that in a year something would happen to it (mechanically) that would cost a lot to fix. Are there extended warranty schemes available that don't cost the earth to have some kind of peace of mind?

So in this car, you need to buy the best example you can find. These engines aren't without fault, but a well serviced one that's hasn't been thrashed should give you nothing more than a bit of wear and tear. A bigger concern for you will be bodywork - or rather, rust. Make sure you set aside some money for repairs and TLC as there are no products available which will cover you.
