I am considering buying a used car, first a 2004 Suzuki Wagon R + GL, 41,000 miles at £3,400; second a 2003 Fiat Punto Active 1,242cc manual, 71,000 miles at £ 2,700. Which is best? What do you think?
The dealer will only guarantee the engines, nothing else, for 3 months. Is this the correct procedure?

Firstly, these cars are expensive. Secondly the dealer is legally responsible for these cars for 6 months from purchase whatever he says and, since he is attempting to deny your normal consumer rights over cars sold at high retail prices, I recommend that you have nothing whatsoever to do with him. Better than the original Punto in almost every way. Excellent driving environment. Easy to get in and out of. Practical and inexpensive to run.
