Amber nicked-her?

A Warning for drivers and cyclists. An instructor on a 4 hour Speed Awareness Course - offered as an alternative to 3 points on your licence - informed the class that where there is a small camera fitted on the top of a set of ATS - Automatic Traffic Signals - its purpose is to photograph a vehicle/driver failing to stop when the signal is Red or Amber. Take care.

But it isn't an offence to fail to stop on an amber. Only on a red. That's why traffic lights would be a lot safer if the UK adopted countdown and count up signals as in China and Thailand. Not sure how transgressing cyclists could be traced from photos of their backsides.
