Four door set
We moved to Dorset 18 months ago and have managed to survive with one car so far, a 7 year old Audi A6 Avant with 100,000 miles on the clock. We now need a replacement family car and want a car capable of providing good economy and reasonable running costs, whilst handling farm tracks, fields, floods and snow. We have been looking at a second-hand Toyota RAV-4, Honda CR-V and BMW X3 with a budget of £15,000, with a preference for a leather interior. Are we on the right track?

I'd go for the current shape Honda CR-V 2.2iCDTI. Very spacious. Very comfortable. Just ambles along. Softer on 17" wheels with slightly deeper profile tyres than it is on 18". I ran one for 6 months and regarded it as my personal comfort zone.
