Fat chance(llor)

This should be passed to as many people as possible! When VAT was temporarily reduced to 15%, the Chancellor added 2% duty to fuel to offset the reduction in tax collected from motorists. Now that VAT has been increased to 17.5% again this hidden tax has not been removed - hence recent rises in your fuel costs. Sign the petition at the link below to have this stealth tax removed!

Put it this way: the difference between UK government total expenditure and total tax revenue is increasing the national debt at a rate of £448 million a month. National debt to the rest of the world currently stands at £114 billion. How else do you propose paying it back? Don't you think you have a bit more to worry about than an extra 2.5% VAT on fuel?
