A mixture of better and worse than the previous model

The new model is better in some ways, such as having the handbrake switch in a better location, next to the gear level, rather than on the dashboard.

In the new model, the auto handbrake release is jerky where as in my last 2010/10 model, it was really smooth. Perhaps in time this will loosen up.

Seats in the new model seem harder and difficult to find a comfortable position, the other model they were a lot more comfy.

Fuel economy in the new model is around the 58mpg on the motorway, before it was 49/50mpg. The new model has co2 levels of 120 compared to 127.

Power wise, the new one has more guts in 5th & 6th gear, before I had to change down to 4th to find any power.

Things I dislike are the load cover in the boot. The new model has a track for it to run down, but it's far to tight and difficult to open. I can see this being damaged soon.

Other than that, it's the same car as before bar a few tweaks. Some better things, some not so good. Still a decent car and perfect for long distance driving. At a rate of driving 4,000 miles a month, I'm sure I'll have more to write soon.

UPDATE - it's been 5000 miles since the last review and I must say, I hate this car. It is so uncomfortable. A car of this price should at least have lumber support. You slide around in the seat and are forever adjusting the seat position, but it never feels right. Was not sure if it was me being picky, but a few guys at work are having the same problem. The car I have is a hire car so it's going back once a suitable replacement can be found. In the next 8 weeks I'll be taking delivery on my actual company car - a Skoda Superb Elegence Est - fitted with proper seats!
