Fantastic, until it hit 70k.

This was a company car purchase. Registered in Apr 2017 it was kept by the dealer as a demo and I purchased it in Dec 2017 with 15k on the clock. One of the first "new shape" Insignia's so some teething issues were expected.

It was incredibly spacious inside, cockpit area was very comfortable and everything within reach. Dual zone climate, keyless entry, parking sensors, lane assist (awful), heated steering wheel and half leather. Sadly the halogen headlights let it down, a car this good looking should've had LED lights all around. High beam assist was impressive.

The boot didn't line up properly with the lights, Vauxhall weren't interested as it was within tolerance. Rear lights misted up regularly, this was 'normal'. The centre grille on the dash for the speaker constantly popped off and was impossible to re-secure. Superglue fixed it in the end.

Around 25k the clutch pedal would only come up half way. Warranty job saw the clutch and flywheel being replaced entirely. Car was off the road for over a week whilst this was done and a "like for like" Vauxhall Corsa courtsey car was provided.

'Sig' pounded the motorways all across the North East, regularly travelling to York/Harrogate/Scarborough/Lancashire from Tyne and Wear.

Despite a full Vauxhall service history, the engine has all but failed. It started with knocking before quickly moving onto sounding like an actual tractor. Engine had to be turned off in drive through's as it was so loud. An initial check claimed the timing was "off" and was adjusted but it quickly escalated into a warped head, a thirst for coolant and a huge loss of power.

The vehicle was taken off the road, handed back to the employer and Vauxhall quoted over £4000 for repairs as it is out of warranty. Sad end to what was a great car.
