Slightly dissapointed compared to my previous car!

I made the decision to replace my 9 year old skoda fabia vrs with what perhaps is the nearest new vehicle to it in the VAG group, sadly skoda no longer making a fabia vrs diesel.
The SEAT is a really nice car to look at and is well finished inside too with plenty of optional extras. Perhaps its unfair to compare it to the fabia, so what i will say about it is, the ride is rather hard you feel the uneven surface of the road and road noise is quite evident and
the steering is too light also.
On the positive side the engine is smooth and quite quiet for a diesel, but the main downside for me has been the fuel economy, i achieve around 45mpg, where as a acheived 48/49 previously. I have questioned the fuel economy with SEAT but they have said this is normal.
Overall i regret buying this car.
