Perfect for me
Needing something more practical than my NB MX5 but still manual (very rare in NZ), my Mazda2 has been ideal. I've done 25,000 miles so far and have just returned from a 2,000 mile road trip having averaged 56 mpg in mixed conditions. My only complaints are that it's quite noisy inside (although NZ's coa*** chip roads don't help) and there's a rattle somewhere in the dashboard at times. Otherwise it has been an ideal reliable travelling companion: plenty of rubber left on the (Dunlop Enasave) tyres, an excellent audio/phone/ navigation system operated by the 'commander knob', well-equipped (reversing camera and sensors, blind spot monitoring etc) and a five year warranty (in NZ). I can't see anything better
