Turbo blown
With 40000 miles turbo has now blown, down to 20 months of non servicing. (Bmw recommend that these cars can go 24 months without service, so not true). These cars need to be serviced at 12 months and not by the mileage unless you go over 10000. They need to warm up first thing for a min or two and then cooled down at the end of any journey to cool the turbo bearing, very very important!!!!! I learned a valid expensive lesson, just under a £1000.00 new turbo bought from Essex turbo with 2 years guarantee.
