A muscle car in disguise, incredible all rounder

Amazing engine, transmission and handling with the bonus of xDrive which means no concerns about winter or driving on wet roads. Quality and comfort very high. Together with adaptive suspension, which smoothes out poor road surfaces, loads of easy power and pace which makes this feel like a 8 series or a GT car. Yes, the rear seats are a bit harder to get into compared to the Grand Coupe (which looks like an anonymous saloon car from 10 years ago), but plenty of room once in. Not too expensive to run, low 30mpg if pushed hard but averages over 40mpg with normal driving. Cheaper to run compared to previous diesel SUV which was a bonus. Standard audio is OK, but would specify the HK system next time. Engine sound on start up always puts a smile on your face. Official performance stats are definitely understated, for real world driving this car is a bargain compared to a M4, 911, much more expensive 4 seat “performance” cars. Was originally considering a Golf R or S3, and so glad i went for the M440i.
