Audi Q3 now available with 1.4 TFSI engine

Published 29 January 2014

Audi is adding its impressive 1.4 TFSI engine to the Q3 line up. The 150PS engine is an entry-level model in the range and available in SE or S line trims priced from £23,870.

An alternative to the 2.0 TDI 140PS model, the 1.4 TSI is front-wheel drive only and available with a six-speed manual or an optional seven-speed S tronic automatic. With the manual gearbox official fuel economy is 47.9mpg with CO2 of 137g/km. Acceleration from 0-62mph takes 9.2 seconds and thanks to the turbocharger it has a healthy 250Nm of torque.

Meanwhile Audi is also launching a new S line Plus trim level. Available on all quattro-equipped 2.0 TFSI and 2.0 TDI models, the S line Plus is £2,350 more than the S line but gets 19-inch ‘five segment spoke’ alloys, replacing the 18-inch wheels, plus there's privacy glass on all the rear windows.

Inside, the standard S line cloth and leather combination upholstery is replaced by a perforated leather and Alcantara mix along with cruise control, the Audi parking system plus and an SD card-based satellite navigation via the 6.5-inch colour display.
