Citroen reveals DS5 prices

Citroen’s DS5 is the third model in its premium DS range, and is also the largest. It goes on sale on 2 April 2012 and prices start at £22,400, rising to £32,200 for HYbrid4 models in top trim.

Three trim levels are offered – DSign, DStyle, and DSport. Even entry level DSign models are fairly well equipped, with electric folding door mirrors, front foglights, LED running lights, keyless entry and, go, cruise control, automatic air conditioning, automatic headlights, Bluetooth, USB-in, automatic wipers and an electronic parking brake.

Dstyle models get part leather upholstery, aircraft style 'cockpit' with roof switches, a dashboard clock, sat nav, parking sensors and a reversing camera, while top spec DSport models get full leather upholstery, heated seats, front parking sensors and a colour head-up display.

DS5 Interior

Four engines are available –a 200bhp 1.6-litre petrol, a 110bhp e-HDI diesel, a 160bhp HDi diesel and a 200bhp HYbrid4 diesel hybrid, which was premiered in the Peugeot 3008.

The HYbrid4 engine offers emissions from 99g/km despite featuring four-wheel drive and 200bhp, which means free tax and the lowest BIK rate for company car drivers. Unfortunately it’s the most expensive engine in the range and it only offers sub 100g/km emissions in DSign trim.

A host of safety equipment is available, including lane departure warning, a speed limiter, auto-dipping headlights, traction control and hill start assist.

Prices are listed below, and you’ll find more details and a full road test of the DS5 here.
