02 1.0 Difficult getting into 3rd gear - greenmicra
38,000 miles & owned from new. Suddenly very difficult to get into 3rd gear but no noise, just cannot move the gearstick to the right place. No problems with other gears. Is this likely to be a major repair or just an adjustment?

Might just be a gearbox linkage problem best whip it into a gargage at that mileage it won't be too much of a problem.

Be prepared for a big bill! the synchro hubs fracture causing a stiffness in third gear selection. But do get the linkage checked first
