(96-00) 2.0 petrol - Towing a Caravan - pda
Does anyone have any experience of towing a caravan with a Mk11 Mondeo 2.0 Petrol Hatchback?
Is it man enough for the job and what was the fuel consumption like?
Help and advice gratefully received!

Towing a Caravan - Ruperts Trooper
They're competent enough provided you stay within the guidelines of the Towing Code, which recommends that the gross weight of the caravan is no more than 85% of the kerbweight of the car. Expect towing consumption around 20mpg.

I used to tow a little 2 berth 13 cwt caravan with my old 1.8 Mk1 Mondeo Lx manual and it used to do 28mpg average (less against the wind and more with the wind)
