Intermittent clutch slip on Nissan Sunny - Nellyspania
I've got an old E reg 1.6 sunny that has a bit of a dodgy clutch. It only seems to slip noticeably when doing about 50 in 5th gear and you really put your foot down, though this only happens sometimes, on another day you cannot make it slip at all. If it needs a new clutch is this a killer job to do and are clutch kits expensive for this car?

where abouts on the pedal travel is the clutch bite point?

If it does need a new clutch then yes its going to cost more than the car is worth.

Some of the old Nissans. Suffered rear main oil seal failure.Ie oil leaked in small amounts into clutch housing. And was weather dependant on whether it slipped or not..It could also mean its come to the end of its life..meaning its reached a point where the rivets are just getting exposed..Prices vary from place to place..Though unless you intend keeping it.and its in good condition. Not really worth the expense.Though thats up to you?

Might be adjustable (Old micras's are and think the sunny is also , but this is/sounds like the first signs of a new clutch being needed.
