ive a m reg nexia which was running ok when until i had to change the head gasket,now its changed and heads skimmed and sorted job done , i now put my foot down and it has flat spots and a general loss of power when i accelerate . please can anyone help ? p.s. where can i get a mannual from for this car ? cheers

I take it the ecu warning light isn't coming on or flashing?

Did the garage that did the work put the cambelt back on correctly? If it's a tooth out, that could suggest the cause to the lack of power.

I see Haynes don't actually produce any manuals for the Daewoo range of cars, but as the Nexia is based on the Mk2 Astra, would a Haynes manual for one of them suffice instead?

I don't know the Nexia engine, but if all was ok until the head was removed, it sounds as if the cam belt has been replaced with the timing a tooth or two out.

Agreed - sounds like a valve timing problem.
