Suzuki Swift - First Accident and Need to Buy car- Advice - twiglet2014

Hi There.

My partner had an accident in my car and it's a write off. It was my pride and joy, only a 2009 Suzuki Swift but shows my budget lol!

I can only drive an automatic and need something similar, so auto, 5 door, aircon and 1.6 upwards so it can overtake when required!

Can anyone recommend anything? My budget is £4999..that's all I'm looking at getting back from the insurer if that :(

I think it has been pointed out on this forum that Hyundai/Kia use 'proper' automatic boxes, not the automated manuals which some makers install.

For £5000 you should be able to find a suitable Kia with a few of the 7 year manufacturer's warranty left.

If you wish to get something a similar size to the Swift, either the Kia Rio (2005-2011) or Hyundai i20 (2009 to date) have 'proper' automatic options.
