SEAT Ibiza - Getting extras fitted in from my dealer or garage - geek84

Good Morning Folks

I have selected a used car - a Seat Ibiza, to buy from a Seat dealer. However, I would also like some extras fitted in such as :

1. Sun roof
2. Sat Nav
3. Blue tooth
3. USB Connections
4, Leather Seats
5. Parking Sensors
6. LED lights.

Do you think I should have these extras fitted from the dealer (and have the warranty in place) or go to a private garage to have the work done?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I don't wish to sound unhelpful but I think your buying the wrong car. If you need all these features it would probably be easier and cheaper to buy a car fitted with them as standard.

If you do decide to go ahead with this purchase then get a price from the main dealer for this work. I suspect that it would be such that you could afford a higher spec model rather than the one you are considering.

Far more sensible to buy a better spec car!

Take the items one at a time

1. Sun roof - probably £500 for a correctly fitted one atht won't leak

2. Sat Nav - hate to think how much to upgrade to a built in one, probably another £500

3. Blue tooth - should be in any upgrade sat nav unit

4. USB Connections - talk to an electrician but again they may come as part of the ugrade audio/bluetooth/satnav

5, Leather Seats - £1500

6. Parking Sensors - £300

7. LED lights - to fit fully legal lights (including headlights) will cost well over £1000.

Total for that little lot is getting on for £4000.

As suggested above find the right car.

In response to some of the questions this OP has posted, I'm reminded of John McEnroe's catch phrase years ago.

This must be the same geek84 that only a few weeks ago did not know the difference between

a big engine and a small one

a petrol and a diesel

a manual and an auto

ete

etc

He obviously needs to get out more or change his name to Troll84
