My Nissan Micra needs new rear tyres often - should the dealer sort this out?

I have a 2008 Nissan Micra that I have owned from new, and in the time I have owned it I have had to replace the rear tyres twice due to them wearing on the outer edge. I went to an independent alignment centre and they produced a report stating that the rear wheel alignment was outside the acceptable tolerances. I went back to the garage I purchased the car from and they took the report, and later contacted me to say that the tolerances for my model had actually changed and it was now just inside tolerances. The fact is that I am replacing the rear tyres at a rate of at least twice the fronts. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Then the car is "not of satisfactory quality" and if you can collect the evidence you can sue the supplying dealer using www.moneyclaim.gov.uk for the cost of repeatedly replacing the tyres.
