Do you think I can get £1000 off the list price of a Hyundai ix35?

I am considering purchasing a new Hyundai ix35 Premium 2.0 CRDi. I have contacted three Hyundai dealers and the best discount I have been offered is £700 off the list price of £19,745 for the 2wd and £20,745 for the 4wd. Is this realistic? I was hoping for at least £1000 discount. I also understand there are long waiting times (at least three months).

It's because they are currently in short supply due to an engine shortage. Discounts are always dependent on the market forces of supply and demand.
