Buying a new Suzuki - Vitara or SX4 S-Cross?

I want to trade-in my 2014 Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.4 litre petrol (manual) for either a Vitara S or the SX4 S-Cross. Both with the 1.4 BoosterJet engine and AllGrip. Dealer is offering about £800 off and £10,500 to £11,000 trade-in on my old car. He needs to sell about 15 cars before year end. I am rubbish at buying cars, can you give me a target price or discount to aim for please?

I'd much rather have a Vitara S than an SX4 S-Cross. Our data for the Grand Vitara stops at 2014: www.honestjohn.co.uk/used-prices/Suzuki/Grand--Vit.../ But on the basis of that it looks like the dealer offer is a good one. And if we get minus 10C this weekend, he might sell a few of the 15 he needs to sell.
