Which diesel car should I buy?

What would be the best car that meets the following criteria?

- has a Diesel engine with lots of torque
- can return at least 45mpg on the motorway
- can take 4 people in decent comfort
- has a good size boot
- is comfortable/quiet cruising
- has good build quality
- costs no more than around £6000 used

I am not fussed about age or brand, but would like something that you would recommend for these criteria!

KIA cee'd 1.6CRDI SW, Hyundai i30 1.6CRDI SW. The problem is that any diesel for around £6k will probably have a DPF (they all had them from January 2011) and if it has done more than 60k miles the DPF could be approaching its end of life, needing at least a Ceramex clean out of accumulated ash.
