Toyota Yaris Hybrid - Keep or trade-in?

Our Toyota Yaris Hybrid is coming up for three years old and we have to make a decision to keep or trade-it in for something else. In the summer it returns 62mpg (about 5mpg less in winter). The car is used mostly for short runs. Should we keep it or change it for a one-litre petrol?

I got 82mpg testing this on flat roads on the launch in Holland. For for daily short distance use 62mpg is normal. I also got 58mpg out of the new Jazz 1.3iVTEC CVT-7 using the paddles, so 50mpg should be readily attainable and the advantage of the Jazz is much more room inside.

Unrivalled practicality and versatility. Plenty of room for four adults to travel in comfort. Surprisingly fun to drive, especially 1.5 i-VTEC Sport.
