Car batteries

hiya, it has been said to me that a car battery is simply a car battery and theres not much to choose between them.Is this true?, is their an advantage by paying extra for lifetime guarantees??. Thanks

I like Yuasa batteries. Paid £55 for the last one, but Halfords do one with a lifetime warranty for some models of cars for about £130.
