Efficient Petrol Cars

Hello, I am looking at efficient petrols for mostly town commuting with occasional long distance of motorway/dual-carriageway.

I am looking specifically at the Ford Fiesta (2013-) 1.0 ecoboost Titanium (either the 100 or 125ps), and the SEAT Leon (2013-) 1.2 SE TSI 105 PS.

They are almost identical in price (second hand) to buy/insure, so I am wondering which will be the better choice for comfort/quietness and nice to drive.

Also I'm wondering about reliability, as well as depreciation, to see if there will be a long term difference in cost (and I am aware the LEON apparently gets about 5 MPG more in real life).

Many thanks for your input.

Neither of these are as efficient as the Peugeot 308 1.2 Puretech 130 that offers more power, more torque, better performance and better fuel economy, and can probably be obtained at a better discount, too.
