Can you recommend a petrol car for towing a caravan?

Given that diesel is becoming an anathema, can you suggest petrol automatic cars that are good for towing caravans?

Probably a Ford 2.0 SCTI Ecoboost Powershift, as in Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy.
