I just fitted a tow bar with its electronics to my Citroen C4 and now have an electrical fault - help!

I have just fitted a tow bar and electrics to a 2005 Citroen C4 Coupe. All trailer lights and buzzer work but when I press brake pedal the rear wash wipe operates. Any ideas what I've done?

You have interfered with the CANbus electrics by which various components share the same power cable and confused the electronics. This was not a DIY job and I wonder about the legality of it, as tow bars now have to be EC type-approved.
