Recommended wheel size for new Kia Sportage
We are looking to buy either a 1 or 2 series Kia Sportage (and likely to be the 1.6 GDi petrol version as we don't do enough miles for a diesel).
The 1 series has 16" wheels and the 2 series has 17" wheels.
What difference does the 1" make? Why would you want bigger wheels?

The circumference of the tyres is the same with all wheel sizes, but smaller wheels put more tyre between the rims and the road and therefore normally offer more comfort. The tyres also last longer and are less susceptible to damage. However, bigger wheels with less tyre between the rims and the road give more positive handling.
