Which winter tyres for my Land Rover Evoque?

I have encountered considerable difficulty obtaining satisfactory advice on winter tyres from Land Rover. Indeed the difficulty has been so great that it almost seems as though Land Rover are in denial about the possibility that their vehicles might actually benefit from winter tyres. I have been told by the tyre expert at my local dealership that my vehicle is fitted with all season-tyres (235/55 R19 Pirelli Scorpion Verde) as standard and I should only fit winter tyres if these prove to be unsatisfactory. Having bought the Evoque expressly to safeguard my mobility in the worst of our winter weather, I'd be grateful for your advice.

Land Rover does recommend Pirelli Scorpion 235/60 R18 tyres (not 235/55 R19) and they are the best choice for a Range Rover Evoque. I’ve driven them through frozen forests in Latvia on 235/60 R18 Michelin Latitude Alpins. There are at least five different types of Pirelli Scorpion, and Verde are not 'all weather'. Here is the full list: www.pirelli.com/tyre/gb/en/car/genericContent/scor...n. Elsewhere on Google, Scorpion Zero were recommended as 'all weather' tyres.
