Can I fit smaller wheels to my Ford Mondeo?

My Mondeo is on very bling 19-inch rims. I was thinking of ordering smaller wheels from My Tyres, which you have mentioned, but someone suggested that if I come down to 16-inch or 17-inch rims the bolt holes may not match. My Tyres recommendation on their automated check list was for 205/55 16. Is this sensible?

No problem with the bolt holes. You do have to make sure the bolt shoulders are compatible with the wheels as sometimes bolts for alloys are not 'shouldered'. Unless this is a 240PS 2.0i Ecoboost the discs and calipers should not be so big that a 16-inch wheel will not fit around them. If it is a 240 Ecoboost, better check with your Ford dealer first.
