Our Fiat 500 TwinAir is remarkably resilient to crash damage.

We have owned our Fiat 500 TwinAir for six months and we were involved in an accident at the weekend. We T-boned a car that was trying to turn right across the front of us on a 50mph dual carriageway. The traffic lights at the junction were not working and they just pulled out and we hit them plumb in the middle at about 35 to 40mph. The airbags fired and the other car ended up on its side. We walked away with bruises and the others were freed by the fire service but were largely unhurt. Everyone says that small cars are not good in a big crash, but this is not true if you are in a 500. I thought I'd let you know that our 500 stood up to the crash very well and protected us. All this five star NCAP stuff really works.
