Summer tyres for BMW 320d - which set will give the softest ride?

My BMW 320d with 17-inch alloy wheels needs new run-flat tyres. While I have winter wheels with 16-inch steel rims and Dunlop tyres (205-55-16), which are great, I would like a better summer driving experience. Have you any suggestions for better tyres than my current Bridgestone Potenza 225-45-17s that I must admit have worn well?

Go down to 16-inch wheels with 205/55 R16s. I rate Toyo J48s this size as very good. Don't go for Energy tyres because their stiff sidewalls give a harder ride.
