Best economical small automatic car for 20 mile commute?

What is the best small automatic car for economy, not with a EGS type jerky gearbox but conventional auto? Commute 20 miles both ways.

Probably a Hyundai i10 1.2 4-speed auto. Should do about 45mpg.
