Peugeot 3008 - new or used?

I can buy a new 3008 for £16,500 but I have test driven the same model used with 18,000 miles on the clock. The forecourt price for the used car is £12,400.

I have never bought a second-hand car before but really liked the test drive and would worry that a brand new car might not have the same driving experience. Also I am not sure how much more off the second hand price I can expect to negotiate.

Can you recommend the ESG auto manual gearbox and would you go for the new or second hand car?

No, I dont recommend the ESG automated manual transmission. But £12,400 is £4,100 less than £16,500 and indicates what you will lose in a year if you buy the new car.
