New wheels - do I need new bolts for the spare?

I have fitted replacement MSW 16" alloys on my Skoda Roomster with 55x16 tyres in place of the original 45x17s to get a better ride over Herefordshire potholes! (This is a Skoda approved alternative size.)
The wheel bolts with these alloys are different from the originals.
I have sold the original 17" wheels and bolts.
My spare is the original 17" steel wheel with a 45x17 tyre, unused.

I have two concerns. If I have a puncture and need to fit the spare wheel will it be safe and legal?

Will I damage the spare wheel by using the replacement bolts that came with the alloys?

You have to use shouldered bolts to hold on the steel spare wheel. So just go and buy a set of five from your Skoda dealer.
