Replacing a 530d - what with?

I would like advice on replacing a BMW 530D Tourer. The car has had everything replaced but still fails - it is presently being repaired for lost steering (crankshaft damper), so it is time to change. I need the flat space for dog and outboard motor and a car for towing a small boat. Unfortunately it needs to be second hand. I have looked at a BMW 320d and the Mini Clubman so far. Can you recommend other vehicles to look at? Budget £14K and I don't want another 5 series.

An E91 320d Touring would do the job. Or a Honda CR-V 2.2iCTDI (pre-2010).
