Looking for a new 4x4

I currently own a 2005 Nissan X-Trail 2.2 dCi Sport, which I have run from new and covered 215,000 miles. I have been very pleased with how it has performed and want to replace it with something similar.

I have visited my local dealer, but have been told that Nissan no longer manufacture this model and only the 2.0-litre is now available. I wondered if the information I have been given is correct and if so how the 2.0 compares with the 2.2 in terms of performance and reliability.

The 2nd generation X-Trail has always has a chain cam Renault 2.0-litre diesel engine that doesn't have a lot of torque. The best car in this class is currently the BMW F25 X3 2.0 diesel 4WD that has plenty enough power and torque. One step down from that, the Mazda CX-5 2.2d Skyactiv 4WD.
