What do you think of the Alfa Romeo Spider?

I am looking at a metallic silver 2008 58-plate Alfa Romeo Spider 2.4JTDM 210, in standard spec with 30,000 miles. They are asking £11,995. Is that too much from a dealer?

It's a fair price and a pretty looking car. A 2008/58 should be okay but beware of earlier examples. There is a lot of weight forward of the front wheels and not enough at the back which can, in some circumstances, confuse the ESP. I had a very nasty 115mph ‘tank slapper’ in one in Morocco and the cars were recalled in July 2007 to rectify “possible loss of vehicle control.”

Beautifully designed, elegant and classy. V6 sounds great. Decent amount of room in the cabin for a roadster.
