I've bought a car with its MoT certificate altered
I bought a Ford Mondeo yesterday from a private seller, who said there were no advisory items on the last MoT (which he showed me).
Later, I looked on the VOSA website, and it shows some serious advisories. It turns out he 'doctored' the MoT certificate in order to sell the car, and he is now denying it. I've asked for my money back, but he says it's, 'not his problem'.
Where do I stand?

He has falsified information about the car's roadworthiness so you can take action against him. Use www.moneyclaim.gov.uk and tell him beforehand that you will see him in the small claims track of the county court. There may also be a criminal prosecution for interfering with an MoT certificate.
